Free Admission a hit for the second year at the 2008 Crook County Fair!
The Crook County Fair Board reported attendance figures today at 20,767 for the 2008 Fair. “Tremendous community response”, said Patrick Wood, Fairgrounds Manager. “The Fair Board, the community of Prineville and all of Crook County stepped up to make this fair a success”.
Comments from Fairgoers were all positive and many spent multiple days enjoying the Fair.
Additions to the 2008 Fair including two expanded programs designed for young Fairgoers, “Fair Safari” and “Kids Zone”, contributed to the success of the Fair.
While the attendance numbers from the 2007 Fair were better by approximately 3,000, Wood said that “despite mother nature giving us some challenges last Thursday, a very active volunteer base, Fair Board and community made this a successful Fair.”
The 2009 Crook County Fair is schedule for August 5th through 8th.
